With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine A. Orfei of Elmhurst, Illinois, who passed away on August 2, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fanelli and Angelina Fanelli; and her sibling Francis Fanelli. She is survived by: her children, Dante Orfei (Margaret McGowan), Renee Crowley (Dennis) and Perry Orfei; her grandchildren, Dante Orfei III, Dennis Crowley IV, Anne Heidenberger (Peter) and Daniel Crowley; and her friend Laura Orfei.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Russo's Hillside Chapels (4500 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside, IL 60162). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (134 Arthur St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
