He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, Sr. Lavery and Gertrude Lavery (Rokos); his parents-in-law, Walter and Stacia Kruczynski; and his sister-in-law Joan Zielke (Herbert).
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughter Dawn Greco (Kevin); his grandson Nicholas Greco; his siblings-in-law, Walter Kruse (Denise) and Suzanne Pogson (Edward); his godchildren, Rick Kruse and Meredith DeLeo; his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Brashler, Rick Kruse (Micheline Fowler), Robin Horn (Jack), Edward Pogson II, Vicki Malinowski (Kevin), Roger Kruse (Cindy) and Crystal Stanfield; and his cousin Donna Schroeder. He is also survived by many friends as well as two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (600 Brook Forest Ave, Shorewood, IL 60404). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, August 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
