With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Dettloff (Franklin Park, Illinois), who passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dettloff and Alice Dettloff; his siblings, Shirley and Arthur; and his close friend Tom.
He is survived by: his nephews, Randy, Jim, Kevin Dettloff (Lou Ann) and Danny Wilberschied (Virginia); his niece Linda Fitzgerald (John); and his caregivers, Jean (Buddy) and Ann.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (325 N Alpine Rd, Rockford, IL 61107). A burial will be held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Emblem Cemetery (520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
He loved to tinker and fix things that he found and donations from other people and then he would turn around and donate to his favorite charities and missions.
