He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Smith and Nellie Smith (Ferwerda); his wife Lorraine Dunn (Vesper); his siblings, Carol Dmochowski, Phyllis Stima, Lois Vanderpal and Allan Smith; and his stepchildren, Bobby Dunn, Dennis Dunn and Norine Mackey.
He is survived by: his caregivers, Shannon, Keziah and Kandace. He is also survived by 11 step children, 28 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Honquest Family Funeral Homes (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
