It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erna Weigt (Franklin Park, Illinois), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Hans Weigt; her children, John Weigt (Joanne), Nancy Wayton (late Rick), Jim Weigt (Diane Nardini) and Jeff Weigt (Karen); her grandchildren, Justin Weigt, Jordan Weigt (Jenna), Brian Wayton (Lorelie), Eric Wayton (Shari), Valerie Heiss (Jason), Lauren Weigt (Michael Cawley) and Jeremiah Rohr (Amberly); her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Sawyer Weigt of Adeline Weigt, E. J., Tony Wayton, Kayden, Colby Heiss, Jaxon, Ashton, Abel Rohr and Madison Weigt; her sister Gertrude Benton (Charles); and her brother-in-law Werner Weigt (Ann). She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews and loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home (9568 W Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery (17w201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181).
