We are sad to announce that on March 2, 2025, at the age of 84, Janet Dorchinecz of Taylorville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Homa and Helen Homa (Ludwig). She is survived by: her husband Ernie Dorchinecz of Taylorville; her children, Dorinda "Rindy" Kress (Ron) of Austin, Stephen Michael Dorchinecz (Cindy) of Taylorville, Kristi Peck of Woodstock, Georgia, Bradley Michael Dorchinecz (Eileen) of La Grange and Matthew Michael Dorchinecz of Scottsdale, Arizona; her grandchildren, Kyrie Kress, Luke Kress, Maddie Barkhust (Grant), Hannah Monks (Scott), Alexandra Ess (Garret), Benjamin Dorchinecz, Caroline Peck, Carson Peck, Griffin Peck, Annaliese Dorchinecz and Elin Dorchinecz; her great grandchildren, Nora Jean Ess, Boston Michael Monks, Beau William Monks, Ethan James Monks and Lucas Roman Monks; and her siblings, Maxine Homa of Taylorville and Michael Homa of Palm Harbor, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (116 W Adams St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School.
