She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Yearwood (Bud) and Irene Yearwood (Garrett); her husband James Earl Capps; her son David Wayne Capps; her siblings, Charles Yearwood (Sonny) and Jerry Allen Yearwood; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Yearwood.
She is survived by: her son Michael Brent Capps (Jennifer) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Alyson Greenwalt (Noah) of Horn Lake, Brenda Krutsinger (Jesse) of Marion and Jessica Beel (Sam King) of Glendale, Arizona; her great grandchildren, Konner Jas Halama, Olivia Marie Dieter, Treager and Jack Evelyn Halama; her brothers, Lee Yearwood (Elaine) of Waco and Darrell Yearwood (Lynn) of Saint Louis, Missouri; her nieces and nephews, Scott Yearwood (Jeri) of Huntersville, David Yearwood of Portland, Maine, Lisa Judd (Lonnie) of Waco, Lori Yearwood of Waco and Kristi Chobanian of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her cousins, Don Yearwood and Linda Hodges.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Shiloh Cemetery (15298 N Garden Ln, Mt Vernon, IL 62864).
If desired, memorials may be made in her memory to New Shiloh Cemetery Association or The Wounded Warrior Project, and will be accepted at or can be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home at 1314 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Illinois.
