She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl C. Hart and Barbara B. Hart; her brother Bennett; and her stepsons, John (Jean) and Paul.
She is survived by: her husband Rodger Leys; her daughter Sharen (Garland); her stepson Eric (Jerrod); her granddaughters, Katharine (Jeff), Emma (Matt) and Laura (Chad); her stepgrandchildren, Emily (Daniel), Andrew and Chelsey; her great grandchildren, LillyAnn, Mason, Elizabeth and Julianna; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ellyanna and Gabriel; and her siblings, Virginia (Astrid), Nancy (Juan), James (Wilma), John (Sandy) and Ruth (Don). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Northwest Covenant Church (300 N Elmhurst Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan's memory to either the Northwest Covenant Church Memorial Garden or the Rheumatoid Vasculitis Foundation.
