With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Rose Amettis (Woodstock, Illinois), who passed away on March 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Limbaugh and Mildred Limbaugh (Carlson); her children, Patricia and Joseph; her husband James Amettis; and her son Joel.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas (Julie), Randal (Elizabeth), Barry (Nancy), Anthony Sr. (Linda), Gerald and Christine Mason (Gregory); her daughter-in-law Hope Amettis; and her grandchildren, Kyle (Randi), Nathan (Nichole), James, Carly, Lauren Zidek (Jeremy), Amanda Eichholz (Chad), Taryn Mason (Ryan Morriss), Leah (Molly), Anthony Jr. (Dallas), Emily Torres (Jorge), Daniel Mason (Magdalena), Skyler, Zachary (Heather), Andrea Hollett (Ethan), Jacob (Sloane) and Dominic (Elizabeth). She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home (1211 N Seminary Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery (11301 US 14 Frontage Rd, Woodstock, IL 60098).
