He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil River (Wilma) and Wood River; his wife Patsy; his brothers-in-law, Charles Harmon and Mark Bailey; and his brothers, John (Joan Chowning) and Michael (Luellen Chowning).
He is survived by: his daughter Cressinda VanderMeersch (Terry); and his siblings, Cecilia Harmon, Dennis (Brenda) and Nancy Bailey. He is also survived by extended family, dear nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024).
