We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2025, at the age of 87, Anna Sackelson of Elmhurst, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Anna departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Anna. Though Anna may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harry; and her son Nicholas Sackelson. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Stacey Vilona (Sal), Nancy Richards (Matt), Anastasia, Allie and Luke. She is also survived by one of nine siblings.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Transfiguration Chapel (2905 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery (2905 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
