He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burke and Catherine Burke (Frasemer); his siblings, Jack Burke (late Lois) and Mary Jonland (late Einer); his wife Donna Burke (MacKenzie); and his children, Kerry Burke and Shannon Burke.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Michie (Jim), Tammi Dawson (Stephen), Dawn Irelan (Kurt) and Erin Burke (Jerry Reed); his grandchildren, Brian Michie, Tyler Michie, Daniel Michie, Timothy Dawson (Claire), Christian Dawson (Erin Walta), Kwin Martini (Jeff), Mackenzie Irelan, Nolan Irelan (Michelle), Michael Schumacher (Kathleen) and Shay Baregi (Mario); and his great grandchildren, Theo, Isla Dawson, Brooks, Hayes Martini and Freya Walta.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home (9568 W Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
