As we bid adieu to Eunice's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Eunice has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ellis Brenton and Merle (Lowell); and her husband J. C. Weems. She is survived by: her children, Terry Lee Young of Irvington, Steve Weems of Mt. Vernon and Dale Weems of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her siblings, Hazel Meinhart of Effingham and Jim Brenton of Centralia, Illinois.. She is also survived by four grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel (6449 IL-15, Woodlawn, IL 62898).
