With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mark L. Parr of Shelbyville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Daley and Nannie Glenn Parr (Barlow); his siblings, Guy D. Parr and Linda D. Parr; his brothers-in-law, Gary Spesard and James Smith; and his close friend Bruce Hancock.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry L. Parr of Honolulu, HI, Van Jon Parr of Shelbyville, Bari L. Spesard of Weatherford, TX, Jayne P. Smith of Tucson, AZ and Bill Houston of Mattoon, IL. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Glenwood Cemetery (308 E North 6th St, Shelbyville, IL 62565).
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Autism Speaks.
