He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Faber and Mildred Faber (Naese); his son Dennis Faber; and his siblings, Keith Faber, Larry Faber, Dennis Faber and Marilyn Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cheffer of Wilmington; his sons, Gary F. Faber Jr. (Gesse) of Maine and Michael Faber (Teresa) of Idaho; and his stepdaughters, Amy Laws of Wilmington, Katrina LaFond of Kankakee and Sarah Love of Morris.
The inurnment will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the family for Gary's final expenses.
