It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris I. Clark of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Carrie Brown (Copple); her husband Robert K. Clark, Sr.; her siblings, Albert Brown, Robert Brown and Virginia Smith; and her daughter-in-law Jana Clark.
She is survived by: her close friend Raymond Bee; her children, Robert Clark, Jr., Edward Clark (Kara) and Shawn Ackley (Dale); her grandchildren, Robert Clark III (Alicia), Amanda Ackley, Wayne Ausmus, Harry Dale Ackley III and Courtney Richards (Nick); her siblings, Ruby Beaver and Kay Clark; and her great grandchildren, Rylee Clark, Madison Clark, Maddy Hall, Bentley Richards and Benjamin Richards. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
