With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ione A. Engleking of Grant Park, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Hamann and Hulda Hamann (Meisterling); and her siblings, June Jacobsen, Franklin Hamann and Sterling Hamann.
She is survived by: her husband Mardele "Del" Engleking of Grant Park; her children, Pamela Lawrence (Steve) of Venice, FL and Greg Engleking (Lynn) of Manteno; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Katie), Mark, Joshua, Brandon (Stefanie), Kaylyn (Kevin), Rick (Cathy) and Ryan (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Sofia, Joseph, Qohelet, Salome, Oriahn, Mason, Sammy, Lily and Tyler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ (310 N Meadow St, Grant Park, IL 60940). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ or Uplifted Care.
