He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael A. Stangl and Marie A. Stangl (Stauss); his wife Arline Kraemer; his son Michael; his sisters, Virginia Schonfeldt, Jackie Young, Darlene Adler and Bunny Koenig; his son-in-law Todd Marten; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Carl, Ervin Koenig and Bill Young, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Debra Frazier, Jan Krier (Patrick), Kay Domaszek (Alan) and Jeffry Stangl; his grandchildren, Kim Frazier, Jonathan Frazier (Charmane), Eric Frazier (Rebecca), Ben Frazier, Amy Tills (Bill), Beth Rozak (Peter) and Krista Domaszek; his great grandchildren, Riley Frazier, Natalie Frazier, Jordan Frazier, Colten Frazier, Jala Frazier, Casey Frazier, Parker Tills, Jonas Tills, Mae Rozak, Violet Rozak and Lily Frazier; his siblings, Robert Stangl (Sharon), Judy Casperson (Wayne) and Patty Carl; his sisters-in-law, Delores Stangl and Marilyn Kraemer; his in-laws, Tony and Emma Kraemer; and his siblings' children, Jody Austin, Troy Casperson, David Stangl, Gerald Stangl, Phillip Adler, Paul Kraemer and Corey Kraemer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (1414 W 5th St, Marshfield, WI 54449).
Memorials may be given to the family for a scholarship in Gene's name.
