He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Bauer and Stella Bauer (Richards) of Franklin Township; his brother Allyn Bauer; his parents-in-law, Hubert and Eleanor Meyer; his brother Jim; and his sister-in-law Nancy Imhoff.
He is survived by: his wife Marlyn Bauer of Plain; his sons, Rob (Julie) of Verona and Shaun (Kym) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Lucas (Courtney), Jillian Haney (Brandon), Courtney Bauer Merton (Brian Stott) and Tara Feurig (Mike) of Kimberly, WI.; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Cameron Bauer, Harrison Haney and Raegan Feurig; his sister Carol Ringlestetter (Rudy) of Portage; his sister-in-law Maxine Bauer of Madison; and his family, Mason and Addie Stott. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Catholic Church (1240 Nachreiner Ave, Plain, WI 53577). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Plain Fire Department.
