With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances S. (Novotney) Groene (Janesville, Wisconsin), who passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Frances may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Frances touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Novotney and Mary Novotney (Hozie); her husband LeRoy "Corky" Groene; and her sister Margaret Kemtz. She is survived by: her children, Marise Nichols (Greg), Lisa Groene, Damian Groene (Jolie) and Eric Groene (Denise); and her sister Lorraine Pierard.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church (313 E Wall St, Janesville, WI 53545). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Agrace Hospice Care or ECHO Inc. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL DIRECTORS is assisting the family.
