He was predeceased by: his father John "Jack" Dern. He is survived by: his mother Joan Dern (Hensel); his wife Katie M. Radtke; his daughters, Kristine Turcotte of Sheboygan and Jacqueline Skroch (Mike) of Onalaska; his grandchildren, Ellie Turcotte and Molly Skroch; his sister Jane Foat (Gary); and his close friend Ken Schultz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives.
