He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank DeChant and Gertrude DeChant (Witt) of Mary's Hospital; and his brothers-in-law, Henry, John and Robert.
He is survived by: his sisters, Irene Manson (Henry), Shirley Midthum (John), Ruth Wopat (Robert) and Jaynie DeChant; his siblings' children, Jonathan (Cynthia), Stephanie, Chris and Amy; his great-nieces, Emily, Olivia and Lilly; and his great-nephew Jack.
