She was predeceased by: her parents, Denver Ziegel and Edna Ziegel (Schnelle); her husband Arlon Balz; her son Scott Balz; and her brothers, Glenwood and Dennis Ziegel.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Sullivan (William O'Keefe), Michael Balz, Robin Sauter (Dave), Jeffrey Balz (Tina), Kurt Balz (Colleen), Wendy Brodziski (Douglas), Leslie Gerhardt (Jeff) and Kandi Lavicka (Brian); and her sisters, Lois Balz and Maxine Handrick (Ray). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (301 Elm St, Athens, WI 54411). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
