It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary R Grathen of Green Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary R Grathen to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jarvis Grathen and Marie Grathen (Schott); his wife Jean Leurquin; his son-in-law Bob Ritchie; and his brothers, Thomas Grathen (Judy) and Robert Grathen.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Grathen (Jodi), Barbara Ritchie, Carl Grathen (Jane), Donna Rae Goslin (John), Eleanor Meyer (Dave) and Fredrick Grathen (Kristy); his siblings, Michael Grathen (LouAnn Zegers), Mary Grathen and Paul Grathen (Pam Stencil); and his sister-in-law Pat Grathen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (1484 9th St, Green Bay, WI 54304).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Gary may be made to benefit Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue.
