He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Boxel and Phyllis Van Boxel (Winiecki); his brothers, Joe and Paul; his mother-in-law Esther Michalek; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Bruemmer and Ed Michalek (Nancy).
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Michalek; his brothers, Glenn, Mike (Renee) and Steve (Lynne); his sisters-in-law, Judy Bruemmer and Toni Charles; his siblings' children, Derrick, Dylan Van Boxel, Maria (Nate), Breckin (Josh), Jenae (Antonio), Erica (Mike), Trevor (Elly), Tearanie (Nolan), Jeff (Michelle), Lisa (Al), Chris (Mandy), Cori (Mike) and Joel; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brailyn, Lyndin, Lucy, Brynn, Carter, Jett, Kyler, Kallum, Nathan, Kyle, Dyllan, Campbell, Luke and Isabelle; and his friends, Les, Skip and Zon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home (1630 E Mason St, Green Bay, WI 54302). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in Gary's name.
