He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Jr. Kellner and Margaret Kellner (Pleck); and his siblings, Frank Kellner (Fritz) and Kathy Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Sharon of Joseph's Catholic Church; his children, Todd Kellner (Robin Hansen) of Peshtigo, Sara Kellner (Ben Anschutz) of Bailey's Harbor and Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Gabe Butler, Nolan Thiel and Madilyn Thiel; his sister Barbara Shreve of Madison; and his sister-in-law Jan Kellner (Dolittle) of South Carolina. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mary Catholic Church - Maplewood (7491 Co Rd H, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
After retirement, John and Sharon moved to Sheboygan to live with their grandchildren until their battles with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's brought them back to their much-missed hometown of Sturgeon Bay in 2024.
