He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Knapton and George Knapton; his cousin Cecil Chadwick; and his friend Martin Callaway. He is survived by: his extended family Marshall; his cousins, Annette (Tom), Mary Ann Veith (Hank), Dennis Fletcher, Nancy Wild, Arthur Kanitz, Denise Ralston, Lynn Brower, Dale Knapton, David Knapton (Cindy), Bonnie Knapton, Carol Glass (Tom) and Gail Grover (Brent); Mikayla, Kate, Emily and Mary Callaway.
A burial was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (1407 La Crosse St, La Crosse, WI 54601). Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home (1425 Jackson St, La Crosse, WI 54601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dickinson Funeral Home (1425 Jackson St, La Crosse, WI 54601).
Chet loved donating to charitable organizations, and he had been a regular blood donor to the Red Cross.
