It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John F. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Trager and Gretchen Trager; his children, Ellen Segar (Jeff) of Brookfield, WI, Ken Trager (Julie) of Mazomanie, WI and Piri Kerr (Ron) of Mazomanie, WI; and his grandchildren, Emily Peterson (Chris), David Segar (Elizabeth), Camila Segar (Alex Rendon), Andy Kerr (Anna), Sarah Arndt (Dan), Matthew and Mitchell Trager. He was also cherished by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the St Andrew Lutheran Church (6815 Schneider Rd, Middleton, WI 53562). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Andrew Building Fund, the Wisconsin Heights School District Educational Foundation-Trager Scholarship Endowment, or local initiatives which John was instrumental in founding such as the Mazomanie Fireworks Forever Committee or the Wild West Days Association. If you prefer to donate your time instead of money, that would be truly appreciated by John.
