She was predeceased by: her husband Michael. She is survived by: her children, Tamra Caskey (Jeff), Michelle Vaughan (Troy) and Mark Rehberg (Amanda); her granddaughter Savannah Valley (Nicholas); her children, Paige Caskey, Abigail Montelongo (Alex), Carter, Evan, Makenna Rehberg, Michael Caskey (Alexis) and Nathan Caskey (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Conrad and Bronson Valley; and her grandchildren, Colton Rehberg, Vincent Montelongo, Madden, Hazel Caskey, Braelynn Caskey, Aubri, Hayleigh and Braxton Berry.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Central Presbyterian Church (3829 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50312).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be forwarded to them so that Karen can continue to "pay it forward", as her final wish.
