It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hilbert A. Firgens of Suring, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Firgens and Ida Firgens (Hein); his daughter Hilly; his wife Lorraine; his grandson Kyle Peterson; and his siblings, Lydia Timm (Ted), Elmer Firgens (Betty), Evelyn Timm (Raymond), Denver Firgens (Mary), Adolph Firgens and Laura Huncosky (Hilton).
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Hoerth (Joe) of Suring, Jody Cook (Flint) of Suring and Christy Firgens (David) of Suring; his grandchildren, Ben Firgens (Mary), Nate Firgens (Caryssa), Kira Cook and Miranda Cook; his great grandchildren, Amari, Gabe and Hogan; and his siblings-in-law, Juanita Firgens and Glen Burk. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (13346 County Rd AA, Suring, WI 54174). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. He stayed busy until Covid, when most things closed and Hilly slowed down; his favorite saying was "if you don't use it, you lose it.".
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Hilly's honor to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Camp Luther.
