With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wendell Fred Standridge (Akron, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 4, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Madeline Standridge and Wendell F. Standridge Sr.; his stepfather Corla Mason; his daughter Deborah Lee; and his sisters, Sandra and Wendie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Shepherd and Becky Lee Marple-Drake; his grandson Christopher Standridge; his sister Mary Alice; and his brother-in-law Jon Swires.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred's honor to the Goodyear Heights Food Bank or St. Jude's Hospital.
