It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pilar Phillips of Canton, Ohio, who passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Pilar may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Pilar touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cirilo Cabilete and Aurea Cabilete (DelosReyes); her husband David R. Phillips; her sisters, Nancy (Francis Obusek) and Maryanne (Thomas McFrederick); and her stepdaughter Diane Kitts.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Sally Polen (Alan) and David R. Phillips Jr.. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home (4041 Cleveland Ave SW, Canton, OH 44707). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
