It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Schneider of Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Schneider to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John and Theresa Mary Pfaff Schneider; and his brothers, Joseph A., Carl R., Albert J. and Robert E. Schneider.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas Aaron Schneider (Jill) of Kettering, OH, Matthew Paul Schneider (Bethanne) and William Joseph Schneider (Jessica); his foster son Randy Everet Hughes (Terry) of Canton, MO; his stepson Mark Rapp (Sherry); his grandchildren, Gabrielle Erin, Isabelle Meredith Schneider, James Paul, Thomas William Schneider, Ollivander Emerson Schneider, Katie Curtis (John) and Kelly Jordan; his stepgrandson Justin Rapp (Maeann); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alyce Rapp. He is also survived by 8 nephews; 4 nieces; and a host of great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church (74 W Main St, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
