It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Hockensmith of Canton, Ohio, who passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harbaugh and Marie Harbaugh (Dauer); her husband Ray Hockensmith; her siblings, William Harbaugh, Marie Malavite, Betty Heisler and Rose Karcher; and her son-in-law Robert Steed.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Miller (Ike), Debra Steed (Bob), Ray Hockensmith Jr. (Diane) and John Hockensmith (Kim); and her grandchildren, Jason Miller (Kelly), Sarah Hochadel (Keith), Bart Steed (Joy), Lacey Murphy (Tom), Brock Steed (Amanda), Heidi Hockensmith and Ben Hockensmith. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home (4041 Cleveland Ave SW, Canton, OH 44707).
