With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dewight U. Friend of Malvern, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Holly Friend and Amy Inez Friend (Cottrell); his wife Mary Friend (Kelsey); his son Paul Friend; and his siblings, Zelda Friend and Luther Friend.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Shock of Canton; his granddaughter Heather Shock (Jeff Grosenbaugh) of Louisville; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Jensen and Jordan Grosenbaugh.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Malvern United Methodist Church (121 W Wood St, Malvern, OH 44644). A masonic service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Malvern Christian Care Center.
