She was predeceased by: her parents, Ott Gentry and Thelma Gentry; her husband Van Vanover; her son-in-law Larry Shock; her brother Paul Gentry; and her brother-in-law Chet Woods.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Miller (Mike) of Portage, MI, Gay Shock of Brookville, OH, Carol Cook (Rick) of Louisville, KY and Mark Vanover (Terri) of Lima, OH; her sister Judy Woods; and her sister-in-law Virginia Simmons (Ralph). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brookville Church of the Brethren (220 Western Ave, Brookville, OH 45309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
