With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene Schlimm of East Sparta, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Schlimm to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schlimm and Thelma Schlimm (Hill); and his siblings, Betty Keeney, Mary Winn, Carol Watson, Ronald, Richard and Jack Schlimm.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Schlimm (Wilson); his children, Margaret Reader (David), Michele Benson (Kelly), Melissa Bihari (John) and Rickie Schlimm (Sue); and his grandchildren, Chad Schlimm (Julie), Dustin Schlimm, Zachary Schlimm (Tara), Shannon Reader Smalley (Chad), Riley Benson, Colin Benson, Michael Bihari and Kyle Bihari. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home (266 N Main St, Magnolia, OH 44643). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
