He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Baskey and Doris Baskey; his former wife Joyce Baskey; and his brother Gilbert Baskey. He is survived by: his wife Michele Baskey; his children, Lori Tibbitts (Doug), Terri Meeks (Mike), John Baskey (Monica), Christine Baskey and Tommy Baskey (Carol); his stepson Travis Wise (Bev); his grandchildren, Katie, Christopher, Anthony, Bobby (Katie), Jason (Trisha), Jocelyn and Will; and his close friend Barbara Maxwell. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA). A burial will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Burial Park (3653 W Market St, Akron, OH 44333).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of the Western Reserve, or an animal shelter of one's choice.
