She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Mathis and Blanche Nancy Mathis (Walker); her stepmother Ellen Mathis; her children, Randal R. Leech, Robert D. Leech and Nancy Ward; her granddaughters, Haley Ward and Heather Skinner; and her siblings, Rose Smith, Gilbert Mathis, Danny Ray Mathis, Billy Ray Mathis and Glen Mathis.
She is survived by: her children, James "Mike" Leech (John Hostetler) and Connie Burkett (Butch); her son-in-law Brian Ward; her grandchildren, Misty, Shane and Josh; and her siblings, Wilburn Mathis (Nancy), Jane Woodburn, Mary Priest and Kathy Whitacker (Gary). She is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, and generations of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Beginning Fellowship Church (4567 OH-43, Kent, OH 44240).
