Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Burnett and Norma Burnett (Walters); her husband Walter S. Merriman; her children, Jon Merriman and Kay Morris; and her grandson Daniel Lee Lucas Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Ted Merriman, Bob Merriman and Debbie Watson; and her siblings, Robert Buchanan (Joyce) and Elva Fodor (Richard). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home (75 S Union Ave, Alliance, OH 44601).
