She was predeceased by: her parents, Tillman Chaddick and Jewel Chaddick; her husband William E. Newton; and her siblings, John Dae Chaddick, Edward D. Chaddick, Darlyn Midkiff and Fern Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Newton Letchworth (Jay) of Cumming, Georgia, Willam P. "Bill" Newton (Lis) of Cartersville, Georgia, Timothy E. Newton of Tallahassee, Florida and Karen Newton Lamb (Marion) of Tallahassee, Florida; her sister Glenda Chaddick Stewart of Deridder, Louisiana; her brothers-in-law, Lavelle "Buck" Miller of Houston Texas and Robert "Bobby" Newton of Eustis, Florida.; and her grandchildren, Pamela Letchworth Ehrenreich (Joe), Kelly Letchworth Lorentz (Dean), Laurie Newton Morris (Justin), Haylee Lamb Hobson (Austin), Meagan Newton Rankin (Myles), Katherine Lamb Brooks (Alex), Joshua Tate Newton, Madison Newton Wilcox (Griffin) and William Benjamin Newton (Avery). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bevis Funeral Home (200 John Knox Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32303). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the S.A.I.N.T.S. Ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church and Big Bend Hospice.
