He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Lust. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Lust (Karst) of Hoisington; his wife Carol Gough; his stepchildren, James Gough of Oak Hills, California and Suzanne Carter (Mike) of Anaheim, California; and his sisters, Gail Lust of Great Bend and Kathryn McAtee of Yukon, Oklahoma. He is also survived by two nephews, many aunts and numerous cousins.
