In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Calhoun Menge and Eleanor Gooding Menge of Jacksonville, Florida.; and his brother Robert Menge. He is survived by: his wife Gaye Glanton Menge; his daughters, Jennifer Menge Halsing (Dave) and Melanie Menge Downs (Julian); his grandson Levi Julian James Downs; his sister Phyllis Luther Wade; and his pet Domino.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Church of Eleven (14286 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32250). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Quinn Shalz Funeral Home (3600 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207).
