He was predeceased by: his parents, Melissa Crews (Kirkland) and Own Crews; his daughters, Peggy Crews and Jill Graham; his granddaughter Tahler Arnold; and his siblings, Richard Crews, Ronnie Crews, Kevin Crews and Marle Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Alton Crews (Tammie) of Bryceville; his grandchildren, Corey Crews (Melissa), Gage Crews, Ciji Pena (Eddy), Phillip Watson (Julia), Jason Wright, Karisa Kelly (Josh) and Chris Arnold; and his siblings, Effie Leigh Walker, Lori Ann Nettles, Judy Crews and Mike Crews. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
