It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monserrate Ortiz (Lakeland, Florida), who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Monserrate may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tito Ortiz and Carmine Bermudez Ortiz; and her son Frank Guzman Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Noemi, George and Nelson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeland Memorial Gardens (2125 Bartow Rd, Lakeland, FL 33801).
