He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Thiers and Helen M. Alexander; his brother Richard; and his former wife Gloria A. Kubasik. He is survived by: his sons, Scott (Patty) of Bristol, VA and Douglas (Cynthia) of Winchendon, MA; his grandchildren, Samantha, Cameron, Colin and Alexis; and his wife Nancy Merrill.
In lieu of flowers, Robert and his family would appreciate donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
