It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jose Bernardo of Palm Coast, Florida, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Espirito Santo Bernardo (Vieira); his parents, Jose Jacinto Bernardo and Irminia DaGloria Bernardo (Rebelo); his children, Donny Bernardo (Kristen), Michael Bernardo of Pawtucket and Lindsay Vieira (Eddy Vieira III) of East Providence; his sister Maria Narcismento-Gouveia (late Antonio) of Toronto; his friend Manny Placido (Teresa) of East Providence; and his sibling's children, Fatima and Nelson Gouveia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM at the Rebello Funeral Home & Crematory (901 Broadway, East Providence, RI 02914). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church (21 Traverse St, Providence, RI 02903). A committal service will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
