He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ventura and Josephine Ventura of Corona, NY.; his former wife Jane Chapman Listenberger; his wife Betty Slaff; his son Drew; his stepson Donald Listenberger (Annette) of New Port Richey, FL; and his siblings, Anthony, Joseph, Junior and Connie Mercado Gerbig.
He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Ventura of Largo, FL; his children, David (Michele) of Sharon Springs, NY and Donna (John Peirson) of Thousand Oaks, CA; and his stepchildren, Jeffrey Slaff, Jim Listenberger, Leslie Slaff Warner, Stacy Slaff Glickman and Dorlah Carson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunshine Christian Home (5250 Whippoorwill Dr, Holiday, FL 34690).
