She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Mae and Willie Zelma Allen; her husband John Porter Karr; her sons, Fred N. Smith and Larry E. Smith; her siblings, Lanie M. West and Roy M. Allen; and her siblings' children, Marion Blue, Roy N. Allen and Terry Allen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christy D. Garrett and Patti J. Gatewood (Mark); her sister-in-law L. Jane Allen; and her sibling's children, Dennis Rowell (Anne), Danny Rowell and Nancy Fields. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Community Church (1114 E Olive Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514).
