He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Ernest Pickens (Rachel) and Jack Brooks (Pauline Hukel); his parents, Charles Edward Pickens Sr. and Sandra Brooks Pickens; and his sister Sherri Pickens Keller.
He is survived by: his wife Rhetta Jeanine Pickens; his sons, Adam Ray Gunn (Jo Ann) of Mansfield and Charles Edward Pickens III (Kristi) of China Spring; his grandchildren, Charles Edward Pickens IV, Parker William Pickens and Brooks Allen Pickens; his siblings, Johnnie Pickens (Janet) of Axtell, Joey Pickens (Alyshia) of Woodway and Sheila Thun (Tom) of Axtell; his aunt Patty Neckar; his uncle Gary Brooks; his brother-in-law Kenny Keller of Axtell; his nieces and nephews, Kinna Keller Jones (Justin), Emily Thun Smith (Cody), Bobbie Jo London (Chris), Steven Keller (Lindsay), Kevin Keller (Tiffany) and Chris Thun (Amber); his great-nieces, Caroline Jones, Kiersten Keller, Coral Clatterbuck (Stephen), Sydney Garcia, Hayven Jiminez (Joaquin) and Maddison London; his great-nephews, Jax Smith, Jonah Smith, Jude Smith, Jameson Keller, Kolby Keller, Carson London, Seth Jones, Dillon Jones and Garrett Jones; and also Cristal Jiminez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home (6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at the Waco Memorial Park (6623 I-35, Robinson, TX 76706).
